An outdoor ceremony with easy, heartfelt energy


Ryan and Mel chose to have their ceremony outdoors, surrounded by open space and the people who matter most.


It was one of those ceremonies that didn’t need too much fuss. The setting did so much of the work on its own, and the atmosphere felt warm, genuine and relaxed.

Portraits all onsite


One of the best things about a venue like The Rocks Yandina is that you don’t need to leave for beautiful portraits.


Everything was done onsite, which meant Ryan and Mel could stay fully in the flow of the day without disappearing for long stretches or feeling pulled away from their guests.


We were able to wander across the property, use the open paddocks, and make the most of the hills and soft afternoon light without ever needing to overcomplicate it.

Styling that suited the landscape beautifully


The whole look of the day worked so well in this setting.

Ryan wore a light neutral suit that sat beautifully against the green of the grass and the warm tones in the landscape.


Mel’s gown had this soft shimmer and texture to it that caught the light so beautifully, and together they looked perfectly at home in the open countryside feel of the venue.

Golden hour at The Rocks

As the light softened later in the day, the whole property really came alive.

The hills behind them picked up that beautiful golden glow, and the paddocks took on thatwarm, gentle light that makes everything feel a little quieter and a little more cinematic.


Ryan and Mel were so easy to photograph in that part of the day. Nothing felt forced. They justmoved together naturally, laughed easily, and gave each other so much space to just bethemselves.

That’s always where the magic is.
